Developing a facility at NPL that enables measurements of moisture content to be traceable back to physical standards.

NPL's recently improved capability for moisture measurements is important for a wide range of industries, such as foodstuffs and pharmaceuticals, as well as for scientific research. Examples are included of the different equipment and methods used, their uncertainties and some of the specific measurements of moisture content that can be made.
