Download the 'Choice of radiation instrument' activity and test out your knowledge.

To take part in this activity, click the 'Download ZIP' link on. Once downloaded onto your computer, extract the contents, and then double click on the Geiger Muller Tube.exe file. This will then open the activity.

This simulation shows the internal structure and workings of a Geiger Muller tube. The voltage between the anode and cathode may be adjusted to see what effect it has on sparks produced (and counted) by box attached to it.
