What is water vapour?

Water vapour is one of the three states of water that occurs in human ambient temperatures. It is normally invisible and behaves like a gas.
It is the condensation of water vapour that gives rise to clouds, rain, snow, dew, frost and fog.

Even without condensing, water vapour can react with surfaces and penetrate materials.
