Tolerance zone
Geometric tolerances define a tolerance zone. A tolerance zone can have shape and size.
Tolerance zones can be described as an allowable deviation from a defined dimension.
Tolerance zone shape
The shape of the tolerance zone usually follows the shape of the component.
Boundaries are formed around the component and the tolerance zone or area inside the boundaries.
Tolerance zone size
The size of the tolerance is the value specified in the feature control frame. The tolerance zone dimension depends on the geometry of the zone: thickness, diameter, etc.
