Modifiers
Additional symbols also known as modifiers can be used within the tolerance frame.
One example is maximum material condition (MMC)
MMC principle describes where a geometric characteristic has the most amount of material and is relevant when the assembly of two components is important.
MMC symbol can be positioned within the tolerance frame as shown.
Examples of the MMC modifier within the tolerance frame:

MMC cannot be applied to all goemetric tolerances. It can be applied to:
- Straightness
- Angularity
- Symmetry
- Parellelism
- Position
- Concentricity
- Perpendicularity
- Circularity
