Computer Aided Design
For centuries a traditionally drawn engineering drawing was the sole means of communicating information from design to manufacture.
Today information is often captured by Computer Aided Design (CAD) software and fed automatically into a Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) application which is executed by a machine.
However, good design and interpretation is important whichever method is used.
