Abstract:
The response of several hardmetals to fine abrasive slurries using alkaline, neutral and acidic media were assessed. Volume loss in the alkaline and neutral slurries was inversely proportional to hardness, but for the acidic media accelerated material loss was found in fine grain materials only.
