Biography

Owen Thomas obtained his first degree in Physics with Electronics at the University of Birmingham and later moved on to obtain a PhD in magnetostrictive composite materials at the University of Brighton. With over six years' experience (initially at QinetiQ, and more recently at NPL) working in multifunctional materials (magnetic, piezoelectric and magnetostrictive composite materials), he has recently moved into the Electronics Interconnections group at NPL.
