Lesley Henderson
Current Interests

Lesley Henderson is presently the Group Leader for the Electrochemistry Group, Materials Division. Her role involves project and people management.
Biography
After completing her degree at Edinburgh University, Lesley joined the National Physical Laboratory and spent 16 years doing research and development in electrical metrology. Her significant scientific achievements were to develop world-leading measurement systems for: resistance up to 100 Tera-ohm; and DC voltage standards at 1V and 10V based on the Josephson effects in superconductivity.
She has now been a Group Leader for around 14 years managing a diverse group of scientists, engineers and support staff both in electrical metrology and in materials. Trained as a PRINCE2 Practitioner and in the use of the NPL Project Management Framework, she has extensive experience in delivering to timescale complex projects ranging from BIS-funded research, BIS-funded incremental development, EU- and TSB-funded collaborative research, commercial research and development and commercial testing and calibration.
As Group Leader of the Electrochemistry Group, Lesley is responsible for a group of around 15 people.
