Role

Keith Dobson is Head of the Business Development team at NPL, and is leading our challenge to continue to deliver the growth of our commercial revenues. There are 11 members in the team who cover market sectors which include Advanced Manufacturing, Aerospace, Defence and Security, Digital Economy, Healthcare, and Energy. Combining the sales, marketing and commercial skills of the BD team along with the world leading outputs of our science teams, NPL is successful in commercialising research through contract R&D, consultancy, IPX and as a preferred partner of choice. His ambition is to grow our partnerships with commercial companies, expand our growing international sales, and deliver world leading high-tech services and solutions.

Biography

Keith joined NPL in August 2009 and has extensive experience and expertise in commercialisation and development of new products, markets and sales for blue chip clients operating in UK, European, US and Far Eastern markets. After completing a PhD in Physics at Leeds University, he has held senior management positions in a number of UK high technology companies and gained experience in markets that include logistics, telecommunications, semiconductors, instrumentation, and ultra-high precision manufacturing.
