James Hesketh


James Hesketh studied mechanical engineering (MEng) at the University of Leeds. His final year assessment was a team project to design and manufacture a rock abrasion tool to the specification required by a Mars rover. Following his Masters, James continued to study at the University of Leeds, joining the research group of Professor Anne Neville to embark on a PhD research project on the tribocorrosion of metal-on-metal hip replacements. James joined NPL in January 2013 as a higher research scientist, within the Electrochemistry group, working on corrosion research for the oil and gas industry.
