Eleonora Nicolosi

Eleonora Nicolosi is a PhD student at the Environmental Research Group at King's College London, in collaboration with the Environment Division at NPL. Her work involves the development of new methods for quantifying sources of Black Carbon in ambient air.


Eleonora graduated from the University of Catania, Italy, in 2005, obtaining a BSc in Industrial Chemistry. In 2008, she was awarded a Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry and Applied Methodologies from the University of Rome 'La Sapienza', Italy.

After her Master's degree, she was responsible for Quality and Environmental Management for Aluminium's profiles manufacturer and, at a later stage, as an environmental auditor for a Certification Body (dealing with UNI EN ISO 14001:2004).

Eleonora is a member of the MRC-HPA Centre for Environment & Health.
