Dan Griffin

Daniel Griffin graduated from the University of Manchester with a MChem degree in Chemistry, completing his final year dissertation on the preparation and testing of Polymer of Intrinsic Microsporosity (PIM) membranes for alcohol-water pervaporation. He gained industrial experience in the field of chemical and process modelling of aspects of the nuclear fuel cycle whilst working at the National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL).

Daniel is currently undertaking a four-year EngD with the Industrial Doctorate Centre (IDC) in Composite Manufacture at the University of Bristol, and is based jointly at NPL, as the sponsoring company, and the National Composite Centre (NCC). The focus of his project is the development and delivery of cure and material state monitoring within liquid moulding processes for fibre reinforced composites.
