Christian Baker
Current interests

Christian Baker is currently undertaking research in ultrasound imaging and quantitative ultrasound measurement for medicine, specifically in the application of phase-insensitive sensing technology to these areas. He is also working on applying optical and thermal techniques to sound field visualisation.
Biography
Christian received a BSc in Acoustical Engineering from the University of Southampton in 2008, and an MSc with Distinction in Acoustics from the University of Edinburgh in 2009, where he studied finite difference methods for physical modelling of bending waves. He has worked at NPL since then.
Role in Group
Outside of his research interests, Christian is responsible for ultrasound beam plotting measurements, and undertakes software development work (MATLAB and LabVIEW) for measurement automation and data acquisition.
