Role

Annys Looser is Head of Finance at NPL a position she has held since 2009. As a commercially minded individual she has brought a commercial rigour to NPL's accounting practices.

The nature of NPL's financial requirements makes Annys an expert in long term project accounting and bidding with a wide variety of complex contracts including grants, EU legislation, co-funding and foreign currency . She has responsibility for the finances of a stand-alone statutory company including exposure to tax, pensions accounting, governance and cash management.

Her passion is people development, she manages a team of 14 and has recently gained platinum approved company training status for all ACCA members and studiers.

Biography

Despite studying a BEng in Aerospace Engineering at Liverpool University her career quickly took a turn into Accounting. Working initially at Morley & Scott (now merged with Menzies LLP) a top 50 aAcountancy practice based in the South East before joining NPL. She specialises in the use of Oracle, Hyperion, and Accounts Pro and is a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW).
