Ana Yong

Ana Yong graduated with a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Surrey, having completed her project on failure in 3D woven composites. Her MSc was in Advanced Materials Science and Engineering at Imperial College London. The thesis was on macroporous thin films as part of the project 'Something from Nothing: Developing Technologies for Energy Recovery from Sewage Waste', funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Ana is currently undertaking her EngD at the Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Micro and NanoMaterials and Technologies (MiNMaT) at the University of Surrey, based full time at NPL as her sponsoring company. She initially worked on dispersion and characterisation of nanocomposite materials. Ana is currently working on developing an understanding of different measures of cure with the aim of developing best practice methods for cure monitoring of polymer composite materials.
