Transmitted Light
These visual parameters are usually spectral quantities weighted by the response of the human eye, and single value scales.
| Total transmittance - the ratio of the flux transmitted at all forward angles to the incident flux. | |
| Regular transmittance - ratio of undiffused transmitted light to incident flux. | |
| Diffuse transmittance - the ratio of the flux transmitted by a specimen to the incident flux, the transmitted flux being measured at all forward angles except the regular transmission angle. | |
| Haze (transmitted) - the scattering of light by a specimen responsible for the apparent reduction in contrast of objects viewed through it. | |
| Translucency - the property of a specimen by which it transmits light diffusely without permitting a clear view of objects beyond the specimen and not in contact with it. | |
| Turbidity - the reduction of transparency of a specimen due to the presence of particulate matter. |
