National Physical Laboratory

Open Event 2012 Open House 2012

The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) opened its doors on 14 March 2012 so that people could see for themselves the amazing research we do.

NPL is one of the UK's leading science and research facilities. It is a world-leading centre of excellence in developing and applying the most accurate standards, science and technology available. Our facilities are amongst the world’s most extensive and sophisticated for measurement science.

Over 2,500 people attended the 2012 NPL Open House event where they met some of our scientists and explored some of our work.
