ANAMET – Measurement Comparison No 951

Description

ANAMET Measurement Comparison No 951

The items used for the comparison exercise
This exercise compared measurements of the complex reflection coefficient of coaxial terminations at RF (100 kHz to 1 GHz) in 7 mm 50 ohm coaxial line. Six terminations fitted with type N connectors (three male and three female with nominal VSWRs of 1.05, 1.2 and 1.5) were used for the exercise. (These items were measured in ANAMET Measurement Comparison 931 from 1 GHz to 18 GHz.)

Eleven organisations chose to participate in the exercise, including six national metrology institutes from around the world. The exercise started in the Autumn of 1995 and finished earlier this summer.

Generally, agreement between the participants' results was very good. A comparison with a repeatability assessment performed by one laboratory indicates that systematic errors appear to be dominating these types of measurements.
