ANAMET – Measurement Comparison No 942
Description
This exercise compared measurements of complex reflection and transmission parameters in rectangular waveguide over the frequency range 8.2 GHz to 12.4 GHz. Three items were used for the comparison; a matched load, a mismatched load and a 20 dB 3―port coupler. The following five configurations were measured:
- Reflection coefficient of the matched load, nominally 0.0
- Reflection coefficient of the mismatched load, nominally 0.2
- Transmission coefficient of the through path of the coupler, nominally 0 dB
- Transmission coefficient of the coupled path of the coupler, nominally 20 dB
- Transmission coefficient of the isolation path of the coupler, nominally 70 dB
Eight organisations participated in the exercise, which took place during 1995.
As with the ANAMET Measurement Comparison 941 exercise, results in this exercise showed a 180° phase ambiguity in one of the phase measurements - The results were grouped in two tidy bunches separated by nominally 180°!!
