ANAMET - Measurement Comparison No 931

Description

ANAMET Measurement Comparison No 931
The items used for the
comparison exercise

This exercise compared measurements of VSWR in 50 ohm coaxial line for items with type―N connectors, from 1 GHz to 18 GHz in 1 GHz steps. There were six participants in the comparison exercise, which ran from July 1993 to December 1993.

Six items were used for the exercise - three male and three female - of nominal VSWRs 1.05, 1.2 and 1.5. (These items have since been measured at RF, 100 kHz to 1 GHz, in ANAMET Measurement Comparison 951.)

The comparison proved particularly useful to one participant who was able to use the results of the exercise to identify, isolate, and subsequently remove, a previously undetected fault with their measurement system.
