Networks / Clubs
NPL Networks/Clubs bring together companies, instrument end users, academics and user groups.
Each network/club covers a specific area, such as Engineering Measurement or Electromagnetics. They publish newsletters, hold regular meetings and have specialist working groups to share and solve technical problems.
They also discuss, commission and carry out collaborative research of mutual benefit and input to national and international associations.
NPL Networks
- EMAN aims to address the measurement issues in industry and manufacturing.
- Promoting awareness and take up of micro and nano technology (MNT). This network focuses on metrology and related issues such as national and international standards and regulations.
- The Optical Technologies and Measurement Network (OTMN) aims to bring together all those with an interest in Optical Radiation Measurement, allowing unique opportunities for networking and discussion of ideas to address measurement issues that fall across industrial sectors.
- TMAN connects the UK's industrial and academic knowledge base through NPL. It combines the best of NPL's Temperature, Humidity and Thermophysical property measurement Temperature and Thermophysical Properties and Humidity expertise.
- NPL runs a number of smaller niches clubs, groups and forums.
