Sound calibrator calibration system

NPL has developed a semi-automated system comprising industry standard hardware and custom PC software for performing traceable calibrations and periodic testing of sound calibrators, including 1 kHz sound calibrators, pistonphones, and multi-frequency calibrators (IEC 60942:2003). The system will calibrate all well-known models of sound calibrator using microphones of type LS1, WS1, LS2, and WS2.

Calibration of sound calibrators, pistonphones, multi-frequency calibrators

Calibration of class LS, class 1, and class 2 devices, with or without barometric correction

Best measurement uncertainty level of 0.04 dB, depending on the type of calibrator under test

System can be modified according to the requirements of the user

Supplied with full documentation, uncertainty analysis, and suggested measurement procedure

Training and support is provided by the scientists and developers
