Measurement Systems and Process Improvement (MSPI) 2013

Date:
07 May 2013 - 08 May 2013
Description:

2013 is the International Year of Statistics. It is also the 20th anniversary of publication of the Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (GUM). To help mark these events, this workshop brings together measurement scientists, engineers, quality professionals and statisticians to examine the role of measurements systems in statistical process control, product conformance assessment and quality improvement.

This workshop is held as a joint ENBIS-IMEKO TC21 activity. The aim of ENBIS, the European Network for Business and Industrial Statistics, is to foster and facilitate the application and understanding of statistical methods to the benefit of business and industry. IMEKO (International Measurement Confederation) Technical Committee 21, Mathematical Tools for Measurements, promotes the harmonisation, co-ordinated use and development of new mathematical and statistical tools for measurements.

The workshop will cover topics such as:

  • Measurement systems analysis
  • Conformance assessment
  • Standards for measurement uncertainty evaluation
  • Coordination of measuring systems and process control
  • Measurement assisted assembly

The event will comprise:

  • 30-minute invited sessions
  • 20-minute contributed sessions
  • Poster sessions

Abstract submission
