'Measurement Matters: Engage with NPL' is a one-day event being held during the University of Strathclyde's 'Engage' week and aims to introduce NPL to industry, policy makers and other key stakeholders.

The Morning session, running from 10:00 – 12:30, is aimed at PGI Researchers and Supervisors only, with training sessions and parallel talks. (NB: If you are in the PGI, please book via the PGI link below – this will automatically book for the Afternoon session too.)

The Afternoon session, running from 12:30 – 17:30, is open to all, including industry guests, and will include an afternoon of talks from Industry, plus key speakers from NPL, breakout sessions and networking.

Confirmed speakers:

  • Colin Arthur – Keysight Labs

  • Simon Andrews – Fraunhofer UK Research Ltd

  • Ian Taylor – Adaptix Imaging

Talks will cover the importance of measurement and applications to industry, working at the academic/industry interface and opportunities to engage with NPL. Delegates will also be invited to attend the reception and launch of Strathclyde's Images of Research exhibition hosted by Sir Jim McDonald, which will follow this event at 18:00.
