Two types of calibration kit are on offer: Etalons and gas cells.

Etalons

  • Uniformly-spaced peaks and troughs covering the whole of the available band
  • Well-defined spectral profile
  • Frequency spacing as required
  • Small, light and convenient to use
  • Low frequency resolution (~5 GHz)

Silicon wafer etalon

A high-resistivity silicon wafer.

Air gap etalon

Two silicon plates separated by a spacer.

Carbon monoxide gas cells
Carbon monoxide gas cells

Gas cells

  • Gas-tight cells with PTFE windows filled with carbon monoxide gas; available in a range of sizes
    • Uniformly spaced peaks in the range 0.5-2.5 THz
    • High frequency resolution (<1 GHz)
    • Variable peak intensity
