Group Leader – Modelling and Mathematics Group - salary circa £50k plus benefits, depending on skills and experience

The role of Group Leader is to lead a team of approximately 20 high achieving scientific staff and manage a technically diverse and complex project portfolio. We are looking for commercially astute individuals with a proven track record of leading teams and managing projects to grow income and profit margins through ensuring customer satisfaction, improving efficiency and effectiveness and achieving business growth.
The successful applicant will be managing the Modelling and Mathematics Group within NPL's Materials Division. You will have experience of working in a scientific or technical environment relevant to the role being applied for, a relevant scientific or technology degree and a working knowledge of project management frameworks. You will be happy to lead a group where you are not the expert, and your people skills will help the group deliver far more than the individual experts can alone.
