Science
- Scientists required for research and/or development of surface chemical analysis methods for nanomaterials, biomaterials, molecular devices and tissue imaging. Please note that, due to the high volume of applications received for this role, we are bringing the closing date forward.
- The aim of this project is to develop tissue-equivalent microcalorimeters that can measure the distributions of ionization at the nanoscale by re-designing the existing ISTED (Inductive Superconductive Transition Edge Detector) devices.
- The purpose of this project is to explore new physical phenomena associated with the manipulation and interference of single electrons in specially designed and fabricated semiconductor nanostructures.
Non-Science
This role is as a member of the NPL team based at our inspection laboratory at the University of Huddersfield, reporting to the Huddersfield Business Manager.
