We pride ourselves on the additional training we provide our apprentices. You will learn how to present and communicate effectively, how to manage your time and work as part of a team. Our 2015 cohort will also receive Mindfulness training.

Applications for 2015's programme are now closed. We have a range of apprenticeships starting in September 2016 in Science, Engineering, Finance and Business Administration.

What could happen next
In March 2015, NPL's first intake of Junior Scientists graduated from the programme and we held a graduation event to mark this special occasion. Read more
All eight apprentices were awarded their Level 3 BTEC and NVQ, and also gained accreditation from the Royal Society of Chemistry.
Whilst there is no guarantee of a job at the end of the apprenticeship, all eight apprentices impressed us enough to have been offered positions with us as Assistant Research Scientists.
